Back To School Finds

I love back to school time. Lots of good finds for a teacher. Of course my two most favorite stores for this are The Dollar Tree and Target. You can't beat a dollar for things. Today I found tons of great things for my classroom.

I found thes at The Dollar Tree, the dinosaurs I will use for our sand table uring dinosaur week and also when we have a Museum in our Dramatic Play Station. The mermaids I got for play in the water table

These are space erasers from The Dollar Tree I plan to use these for a grid game during Outer Space week.

And these name plates and sight word cards, and classroom labels came from The Dollar Tree. Love these.

All these goodies came from The Dollar Tree too. Lots of good uses for these. The little cards will be great in pocket charts.

I got these goodies from Target, love the wildlife puzzle, plus the flash cards are always great from there especially for $1.00 :)  The star erasers are for grid games and counting fun.

And last but not least these great puzzles came from Target in the dollar spot.

Happy Rocks

I am using this summer to start getting things ready for the new pre-k class that comes to us in the fall. They will definately be a different bunch than I have at the moment. A wild bunch if you know what I mean. I saw this idea using glass rocks from the dollar store for the class to earn. When they fill the bucket with them we will do something special in our class. Here is the link: http://kindergals.blogspot.com/2011/09/managing-behavior.html
I also plan on making the Big Green Monster for when the kids tattle. I do not like tattling and the kids this age seem to love to tell on each other.
Here are a couple pics of my Happy Rocks purchased all these at The Dollar Store. Love that place.

I Love Dramatic Play

I love dramatic play in my classroom and so do the kids in my room. I am always trying to switch it out into different things. This past year the kids have enjoyed a grocery store, a bakery, a flower shop, pet store, farmer's market, and ice cream shop. I plan on doing these and more with the new class this fall. I have the summer to work on some of these. Here are a few pics from some of the ones we did this year.
